Shipping Damage Policy

Kayaks must be inspected for damage before accepting delivery

It's important to inspect your kayak carefully and thoroughly upon delivery, so that you make sure you have everything you ordered, and that there were no damages in transit. If you have any problems, please complete the Shipping Damage Claim form at bottom of this page for help

If the product is signed for without damage being reported or if the driver leaves the property without the damage being reported, Vibe Kayaks won't be able to replace it. You will have to pay return freight charges which ranges from $250 - $400 or accept the kayak as is.

We have partnered with Route to offer shipping protection. This is an optional feature available for purchase at checkout.  The price varies by product. To learn more click here. This option is only available during the time of purchase and is non-refundable.


How do I inspect a delivered kayak?

Upon delivery, please ask the driver to wait while you inspect the item thoroughly BEFORE SIGNING Next, unwrap your kayak and thoroughly inspect for major damage.

Major damage includes:

  • Holes
  • Dents
  • Cracks

If you find major damage:

  • Take pictures
  • Have the carrier document in writing a detailed description of the damages before signing anything
  • Return damaged kayak to the driver
  • Contact Vibe customer service immediately

If you find minor damage, note the damage on the Bill of Lading, take pictures, accept the shipment and contact Vibe customer service. Minor damage includes:

  • Scratches and knicks
  • Broken parts
  • Gouges

If you are unwilling to come to a compromise over minor damage, then refuse the shipment.
