Vibe Moves into International Waters

We’re excited to announce that Vibe is adding two new dealers to its network- one in Mexico, and one in Puerto Rico! These newest dealers will be the first shops to carry our kayaks outside of the continental U.S. and we couldn’t be more thrilled to add them to our community.

The two dealers, BassAr (located in San Nicolás de los Garza, Mexico) and The SUP Shack (located in Ponce, Puerto Rico) will both offer a selection of our kayaks for their local customers. They’re joining our roster of almost 70 dealers, who help make kayak fishing more accessible and help to spread the “No drama. Just adventure.” lifestyle.

Get to know the dealers

The BassAr shack was established in 1993 to provide locals with the best fishing equipment at the best prices. The staff loves to offer personalized shopping advice for everyone from novice and weekend fishermen to high-performance fishermen. BassAr carries over 50 brands of fishing equipment and is a leading retailer in the Mexican bass fishing industry. BassAr is directed by Edgar Tellez Sr., who is a passionate fisherman and promotes the sport through informational stories in local newspapers, radio and TV.

The SUP Shack was started in 2014 by owners Sergio Rodriguez and Ailyn Santiago. After being asked to form the first SUP Team for their hometown, they decided to open a small shop out of their garage on a part-time basis. Four years later, the duo has developed a full-time operation and become the largest paddle sports shop both in Puerto Rico and in the Caribbean. Today, they offer kayaks and SUPs, accessories and clothing; they also conduct classes, tours and have a rental operation. They love paddling, fishing and exploring, and share their passion for paddle sports with clients and friends. Like the staff at Vibe Kayaks, they like to practice the catch and release of fish to help conserve the environment.
