I love everything about the kayak but the Rutter system I feel like there could've been a little bit more thought to the design in particular, when you tie your strings to your rudder system, they eventually become loose and give you like wobbly turning

I'll start by saying that this kayak has the potential to be #1 among 10'-12' fishing kayaks if Vibe can work some of minor issues out. I have read many customers (FB Group) about having issues with the pedal sprockets. I have only use mine once and I did not have any issues with the sprocket stripping but that is because I pedaled slow. I did not test the speed capabilities because, and here are the issues I had, the pod has about 1/4" play from left to right when you pedal. So, I did not want to risk it. No, you can't tight the puck any more or even adding some kind of spacer to the puck helps. It probably needs a thicker gasket where the pod goes. Because of the play from side to side, a screw on top of the pod that aligns right under the puck has chipped away from of the plastic from the puck. One last improvement would be making the rudder a bit wider.

With that said, the kayak design, how much you can pack in a small size kayak, the weight of it (without) the seat, pod, and pedals, makes it easy to carry and load and unload. Very stable and everything is within reach. Again, the design of it is fantastic. Just work in making the pedal, pod, puck system, and a wider rudder better and this kayak would easily become the to go to kayak for many anglers.

22 business days after my order, my Makana 100 arrived! Well wrapped, the delivery guys gently unloaded it onto the painters tarp I had laid out on my garage floor. I immediately removed the wrapping. After first admiring how pretty it is, I did a detailed close inspection of the hull with a flashlight (raining outside, I had to do the inspection in the garage). All is pristine; I found no mars, no cracks, no scratches. The seat and the X-drive unit look clean and new as well, and both assembled easily. Looking forward to hitting the water!

The stability for fishing it's amazing.

Love my new Makana 100. I purchased this to be a very capable throw and go fishing and recreational kayak. Well, mostly fishing. I can lift and carry it pretty far and it fits in the back of my pickup only extending a bit (~2ft) past tailgate when down (5 ft bed). No need for my bed extender like for my 12 foot kayak. The pedal drive is AWESOME - super light and easy to use and I like the pedal action on paddle drives more than my propeller drive. It's easier for me. The only downside is that one can't reverse direction but that's not that critical an issue as the kayak paddles very well so easy to adjust location and movement. The kayak seat is a good height for me and very comfortable to fish from. It is SUPER stable and ergonomic with lots of nice features - room under the seat, rod holders, great bungies, spots for drinks, tackle box holders on side of seat, paddle holder in front. Ok, the paddle holder in front is excellent because you can stick the tip of your paddle in there, make some casts and then easily pull the paddle back out for an adjustment...and it's not in the way when I pedal. Really, overall, a well designed kayak that I am really enjoying. Excellent fish mojo too as I lost count of the bass, crappie and bluegill I was catching on my last outing.
