Trevor Powell

My Name is Trevor Powell I was born in 1984 in San Francisco, California and at a young age my family moved north to Sonoma County to get away from the fog. I grow up on the coast with my uncle being a commercial salmon fisherman and my mom working in the restaurant industry as a sales rep. I would go to the coast with her and as she would take orders, I would hang out and fish for Smelt and Perch on various back docks and piers. I was hooked!
It took me some years to discover Kayak fishing, once I did, I needed to be on the water as much as possible. I found that after a few hours of kayak fishing my back would be hurt preventing me from fishing for too long. I needed an upgrade. Luckly, I had a fishing partner that picked up a Vibe Shearwater 125. After trying out his rig and feeling how comfortable it was with its multiple seat configurations, I was able to fish for hours without any pain. I purchased my shearwater and started to deck it out with Yakattack accessories.
