The Vibe V-Wave Bow Hatch keeps gear dry, while adventuring in a Sea Ghost! The waterproof gasket and waterproof cargo bag also keeps gear protected from condensation and moisture accumulation in the hull. This hatch is retro-fitted for previous model Sea Ghost kayaks.

As far as we know our kayaks have never caused cancer, but California says they may, so here ya go. BTW wear sunscreen, the sun actually does cause cancer.

Great upgrade

If your kayak still has the older hatches, do yourself a favor and upgrade. I have had zero leaking issues. They seal tight and keep the kayak hull, as well as your gear, nice and dry. Latches work well and have held up, even though my kayak sees a lot of use.

V hatch lid

I purchased this hatch lid for my 2018 SG110. The retro fit installation was extremely easy. The seal on the new hatch is large and looks to be a tighter fit. Once the rain stops and water receded in KY, I am looking forward to testing how watertight it is.

These hatches come standard on the 2019 Sea Ghost, but they are backward compatible through to the 2016 Ghost. This hatch is a HUGE upgrade over the old style hatch, it has a BIG seal on it that seems so over-engineered for its purpose. Which means you don't have to worry about water. It is thick chunky plastic which means you don't have to worry about warping. The REMOVABLE DRY bag is PVC and can actually keep everything you put in it dry. If you are on the fence about picking up this upgrade, you shouldn't be, it is so worth it.
